  • Anne stars as : Rowena Larson

Gracie Thompson's (Kristen Bell) life has been riddled with chaos and the pain of handling her out-of-control, substance-abusing mother (Anne Heche) while trying to fill in as a parent to her three siblings. But Gracie won't be daunted - not by pity, not by her crazed mom or oblivious grandmother (Diane Ladd), not by the medical difficulties plaguing her and her siblings, and not by the heartlessness of the court system. Nothing will stop her from keeping her three brothers safe and under the same roof. This inspiring movie, based on actual events, demonstrates the true meaning of family. Watch it with your loved ones

Pleading her self-defence, the Marine officer Mary Jane O' Malley (Anne Heche) goes on trial for the premeditated murder of Major Nelson Gray, a hero of war. But the proofs which could clear her, disappears the ones after the others and it becomes increasingly clear that the American Navy already returned its verdict: better is to preserve the honor of a hero than to return justice to a woman--

  • Anne stars as : Lucy Brown

Beyond Suspicion is a little too thoughtful to be accurately called a thriller, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Jeff Goldblum plays insurance salesman John Nolan, who is passively content in his yuppie lifestyle until one night when he's caught in the middle of a robbery. Augie, a store clerk, is killed, and Nolan becomes so obsessed in finding a little meaning in Augie's death that he begins to gradually take over what would have been his life. But of course, all lives are complicated, and Augie's life as an ex-con was doubly so. Goldblum gives one of his trademark quirky performances, and it works well here, as he captures Nolan's discomfort in his own skin. Though not the edge-of-your-seat suspense movie its title might suggest it is, Beyond Suspicion is an interesting, patient, and thoughtful film that takes care to flesh out even minor characters.

  • Anne stars as : Beth Eastern, lawyer

Two friends must decide whether to return to Malaysia to prevent a third friend from being executed for possessing drugs. Anne plays a lawyer attempting to convince the two friends to return. Well written, beautifully photographed, well directed, well acted -- and a tour de force performance by Anne. The only things not looking good are Malaysian justice, and Jada Pinkett's role.

  • Anne stars as : Robin Monroe, assistant editor for a magazine called Dazzle

Anne Heche plays a NY editor on vacation who becomes stranded on a tropical island with a grumpy pilot who values a simple life. The warmest performance of her career. The film steals from a half-dozen classics, but works because the two stars do their jobs. Without them, the film wouldn't get two stars.

    1997

  • Anne stars as : Winifred Ames, top presidential aide

Not only was Barry Levinson's comedy shot in a relatively fast period of 29 days, the satire of politics and show business feels as if it were made yesterday. There's a fresh spin quite evident here, a nervy satire of a presidential crisis and the people who whitewash the facts. The main players are a mysterious Mr. Fix-It (Robert De Niro), veteran Hollywood producer (Dustin Hoffman), and a White House aide (Anne Heche). Can the president's molesting of a young girl be buried in the two weeks before an election? A war in Albania just might do the trick. In the good old days, the president would just invade. With modern technology, it's even cleaner. The hungry press looks for any lead, convenient misinformation is created by the latest Hollywood fakery ("all developed by the new James Cameron film") creating images and merchandise all instantly packaged. And it must be real, because it's on TV. David Mamet's script never questions the morals or the absolute secrecy needed to pull this thing off. He and director Barry Levinson have enough truth in the story to make you wonder what is real news and what is just promotion the next time you see CNN. Many of the supporting players impact the story with mere presence: Denis Leary as a quote man, Willie Nelson as a songwriter. The three leads are magnificent. With the similarities between history and this film, Wag will forever linked to the Monica Lewinsky saga.

  • Anne stars as : Melissa "Missy" Egan

This is a slasher film with a modicum of class. Anne plays a backwoods, frumpy, somewhat creepy, loner. She looks at home in the part ,as she does in every part she plays. This is not the part you would expect a "star" to play, but it is the part you would expect a professional to play, and she is brilliant.

  • Anne stars as : the pregnant girl

This offbeat HBO production features a series of 10 short films representing the unpredictable true experiences of those varied, brave souls who dared to test the waters of the New York City subways. Finally, Ted Demme’s MANHATTAN MIRACLE is a hopeful tale about a man who is about to watch a pregnant woman jump in front of an approaching train. At turns humorous, ironic, and poignant, SUBWAY STORIES provides an entertaining glimpse into the unpredictable underbelly of New York City.

  • Anne stars as : Dr. Amy Barnes, volcanoloqist

A disaster flick where the city everyone loves to hate (especially here in northern California) gets more comeuppance. She plays the female lead opposite Tommy Lee Jones. For what the role is intended to be, she does a bang-up job -- after all, the real star is the lava , the flames, the destruction

  • Anne stars as : Maggie Pistone, "Donnie Brasco"'s wife

Based on a memoir by former undercover cop Joe Pistone (whose daring and unprecedented infiltration of the New York Mob scene earned him a place in the federal witness protection program), Donnie Brasco is like a de- romanticized, de-mythologized version of The Godfather. It offers an uncommonly detailed, privileged glimpse inside the world of organized crime from the perspective of the little guys at the bottom of Mafia hierarchy rather than from the kingpins at the top. Donnie Brasco is not only one of the great modern-day gangster movies to put in the company of The Godfather films and GoodFellas, but it is also one of the great undercover police movies--arguably surpassing Serpico and Prince of the City in richness of character, detail, and moral complexity. Donnie (Johnny Depp, a splendid actor) is practically adopted by Lefty Ruggiero (Al Pacino), a gregarious, low-level "made" man who grows to love his young protégé like a son. (Pacino really sinks into this guy's skin and polyester slacks, and creates his freshest, most fully realized character since his 1970s heyday.) As Donnie acclimates himself to Lefty's world, he distances himself from his wife (a terrific Anne Heche) and family for their own protection. Almost imperceptibly his sense of identity slips away from him. Questioning his own confused loyalties, unable to trust anybody else because he himself is an imposter, Donnie loses his way in a murky and treacherous no-man's land. The film is directed by Mike Newell, who also headed up Four Weddings and a Funeral and the gritty, true crime melodrama Dance with a Stranger

    1996

  • Anne stars as : Christine Cullen ( saison 1996 ). Heche plays a college girl in the final segment who finds herself pregnant and who has a short time to decide whether to get an abortion

Set in a single suburban house, this made-for-cable trilogy examines the evolution of women's right to choose an abortion in three disparate years: 1952, 1974, and 1996. From the pre-"Roe V. Wade" back-alley option, to the mid-'70's struggle between conscience and career, to the hot-button, controversial decision faced in the '90's, the issue is given its due. Anne , who starred in the 3rd segment (1996), will write and direct one of the vignettes that stars Sharon Stone and Ellen DeGeneres in the next part of the trilogy:

  • Anne stars as : Amy Morgan, avant-garde dancer

Ultimately he learns to throw caution to the wind and follow his dream and, most importantly, to believe in and hold onto his one true love.

  • Anne stars as : Juliet, a doctor friend of Demi Moore's character

A single mom (Demi Moore) on jury duty finds more than justice at stake as the mob boss who's on trial hires a seductive heavy to convince her to swing the trial his way--or else

  • Anne stars as : Laura

The winsome and underappreciated Catherine Keener plays Amelia, an unattached New York City cutie living uncomfortably in the shadow of her best friend Laura (Anne Heche). But Laura has problems of her own--including professional insecurities and dwindling sexual interest in her nice-guy fiancé. Not by any means a sidesplitting Generation X comedy, Walking and Talking is the sort of film that relies on bittersweet irony to generate sympathy for its characters. Director Nicole Holofcener leans heavily on the intrinsic pathos, alienation, and insecurity of young adulthood, employing the obligatory well-screened answering machines, meaningless telephone relationships, and lonely nights of video rentals to make her point. Without question, Holofcener should have spent more time elaborating the relationship between her characters--we're never sure why they put up with each other, or why any of them became friends in the first place. We're shown the dysfunctional side of these relationships, but never given a reason to understand them as anything other than hopelessly compromised. Nevertheless, the performances (particularly Heche's) are always heartfelt, the writing is bright without resorting to cleverness, and almost every scene strains admirably for meaning and resonance.

    1995

  • Anne stars as : Here is a great site about co-star Christopher Walken : Walken Works. It contain a valuable analysis of the movie.

He assigns his bodyguard (Bauer) to tail her. Unfortunately, the bodyguard IS a Fed - a vicious one at that - and he uses his power to force Alex into a number of sexually and morally compromising positions while he plans the downfall of his "boss".
